What type of needles to use when using Metallic threads? Kreinik Manufacturing recommends the following needle sizes when using various metallic threads.

NOTE: Always use a needle large enough to open the hole in the fabric and allow the thread to go through easily without binding. Let your needle hang frequently so the thread can untwist.

The Bare Bones Retreat returns August 24-25 at the Holiday Inn Express, 5360 Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, Florida. Come join us for a weekend of fun, friendship and fabulous stitch projects you want to start or maybe just finish! Check into the hotel Friday and get ready to enjoy your weekend. Meals will be planned when we all have arrived. Bring a snack to share for the weekend. The meeting room has been reserved for Friday night and all day Saturday until we are not able to stitch any longer. The room rate is $76.00 per night with taxes and your share of the meeting room. A continental breakfast is included in the cost of the room. Share a room and your costs are even less. Can't spend the weekend??? Join us for Day Stitching.

The 9th Annual Brick City Cross Stitch Silver River retreat is set for October 17-21st with openings still available. You may join us for Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Sunday for $250.00 or just come for the weekend Friday-Sunday for $200.00. 6 fully equipped cabins have been rented, sleeping 4 to a cabin. 2 stitching cabins will be set up for you to wander back and forth, sharing stitching secrets, "rip-it" stories and just plain fun. Bring a completed work to enter the "Art Show" and listen to all the wonderful comments about your fantastic pieces. A deposit of $100 due at time of sign-up is fully refundable until October 1st. The remainder of the weekend cost is due at that time if you are joining us. Call the shop for questions, brochure or reservation.
